Cops: Florida Man Killed Neighbor Over Lawn Grass Height
LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – Authorities say a lawn dispute between two neighbors in Lauderdale Lakes ended in a fatal shooting.
According to the Broward County Sheriff's Office, 49-year-old Lee Andrew Macon and 51-year-old Jerome Jackson were arguing Thursday morning over the height of grass on Macon's lawn. Jackson lives next door.
In the fight, police say Macon pulled out of a gun from his waistband and fired a shot. The two men struggled over the gun and Macon fired again.
Jackson died at the scene. Macon was arrested at his home. Officers found the gun inside.
Macon faces a first-degree murder charge.
