Daniel Baldwin has certainly had is share of pitfalls and problems over the years, but with five movies coming out in the next seven months (plus a starring role in the season six double-episode of "Cold Case" coupled with preparing to be a father for the fourth time in August) the "Celebrity Rehab" dropout is back on the bandwagon and bracing himself for a "serious, mainstream" career.
"I’ve been sober now for a couple of years and I’m taking my sobriety very seriously - one day at a time and I am moving forward in my career. If you ask me if I think I will be sober in 24 hours time I can say yes, but in two years I can’t tell you. I could be dead," Baldwin told Tarts in an exclusive interview. "So everyday I do something whether that is calling my sponsor or mediate or help with an intervention."

Speaking of intervention, Baldwin wants to help Lindsay Lohan kick the habit — but the "Mean Girl" isn’t calling back.
"I’ve reached out to Lindsay a few times, I've had conversations with Lindsay’s representation from a talent standpoint and a legal standpoint, I’ve had conversations with her mother and father but I'm yet to sit down and discuss sobriety with Lindsay. I put my number out there but when she’s ready and wants to talk to me she will," Baldwin said. "I’m not someone who is going to hunt somebody down because that doesn’t work. At the end of the spectrum when you get to that 12th step, when you have that spiritual awakening we make ourselves available to help other people. But as much as that makes me sound like a great guy, it is a completely a selfish thing too, I don’t have to make myself available but I chose to and that helps my sobriety too. I just hope she calls me."
But the second eldest Baldwin brother certainly isn’t waiting with baited breath for the 22-year-old to buzz, he’s had other important things to do like dancing with Drew Barrymore, seriously.
Danny plays Drew’s love interest in the HBO remake of the 1975 documentary "Grey Gardens" (which premieres on the network this Saturday and also stars Jessica Lange) and he spent hours perfecting the ballroom dance routine that they share together in the flick.
So while Baldwin is done with the reality arena thanks to an abundance of more serious acting offers, he hasn’t ruled out "Dancing With the Stars" quite yet.
"We discussed doing it last season, but I wasn’t available," he admitted. "But if they offer it to me again I would do it for no other reason than to win it. I would be in that studio working damn hard."
Is that a hint to producers?
