Boy, 4, Dies After Being Found in Car Trunk at Beach

HONOLULU – Police in Honolulu say a 4-year-old boy has died after being found in the trunk of a car at Ewa Beach.

KITV-TV reports that family members discovered the boy Saturday afternoon. It says the child was taken to Hawaii Medical Center West in critical condition but later died.

The Honolulu Fire Department says the child may have been in the trunk for up to an hour.

Officials did not say how the boy got into that part of the vehicle.
