The body of a 34-year-old Glendive woman who was reported missing on April 12 has been found in the Yellowstone River, Dawson County Sheriff Craig Anderson said Wednesday.

Susan Casey's body was found Tuesday near Fallon, about 30 miles from Glendive.

"With the discovery of Susan Casey's body, we have switched from a missing person investigation to a suspicious death investigation," Anderson said, adding he would not comment further.

Casey had four children and worked at the Glendive Medical Center.

Casey's ex-husband, Walter Larson, 37, was arrested in Billings two days after she was reported missing and was charged with violating an order of protection. Court records said investigators found 44 attempted phone calls between Larson's phone and Casey's cell phone in the days before she disappeared.

Larson has pleaded not guilty in Justice Court in Dawson County, where the restraining order was filed in 1998. The phone records were searched as part of the investigation into Casey's disappearance.

At the time of Larson's arrest, Anderson declined to comment on a possible connection between the charge filed against Larson and Casey's disappearance.
