She was giving less than a 10 percent chance of survival, but little Chloe Wilson is thriving despite being born four months early.
Chloe weighed only 1lb. 2 oz. when her mother, Michelle, gave birth 23 weeks into her pregnancy, making Chloe one of the most premature babies to have survived in the U.K., the Northern Echo reported Monday.
Her twin sister Ellie only survived for 30 hours, but Chloe is now two months old and is getting stronger everyday at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary. She now weighs nearly 3 lbs, according to the paper.
Michelle and her husband Steven, from South Hetton, County Durham, hope to bring Chloe home by Christmas.
