Their repertoire probably does not include "100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall," but a highly respected University of New Hampshire singing group has been punished for alcohol-related hazing.

The New Hampshire Gentlemen, or Gents, have been put on probation for two years, and have been banned from performing many of their shows until next fall.

According to a university disciplinary report, the group held a party after its spring concert last semester where underage people were allowed to drink alcohol and new members had their heads dipped in alcohol-laced punch known on campus as jungle juice.

Third-year student Jon Blauvelt, the group's music director, said it was a tradition, and a mistake.
