NEW YORK – Despite their J-Lo connection, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs (search) was on the same page with Ben Affleck (search) at the Democratic National Convention.
Combs told the E! cable channel on the convention floor in Boston: "No way a woman would ever come between men. I have no problem with him just because we dated the same girl. Right now we are both trying to get involved in the process and get people out to vote."
Presidential nominee John Kerry (search) and his running mate, North Carolina Sen. John Edwards (search), rolled out of Boston Friday with Affleck to start a two-week, 3,500-mile campaign on buses emblazoned with the words, "Believe in America." First stops, Scranton and Harrisburg, Pa., a state President Bush lost by 5 percentage points in 2000.
Affleck, star of the blockbusters "Pearl Harbor" and "Armageddon" -- and the bombs "Gigli" and "Jersey Girl" (search) -- made many appearances during the convention, which ended Thursday night.
Combs was in Boston to promote his nonprofit outreach group, Citizen Change. The hip-hop mogul told AP Radio in an interview: "In the streets the young people are talking about voting this year. We have made some successes on making voting necessary, making it cool, making it relevant."
After her much publicized romances with Combs and Affleck, Jennifer Lopez reportedly married singer Marc Anthony in a small ceremony at her Beverly Hills, Calif., home in early June.
The actress-singer was engaged to Affleck, her "Gigli" co-star, but amid a huge media frenzy they canceled their plans in September 2003 and broke up in January.
