A Shout Out to 2006 College Grads!

Dear Friends of "Fox & Friends",

Hi, it's Steve Doocy. Today's is a special blog, saluting the college graduates of the Class of 2006.

My good friend Bobette's daughter Sharon Harris is graduating this week with a Masters in social work from the University of Oklahoma. She worked hard, got good grades and now, like millions of graduating members of the Class of 2006, she is looking for a job. Good luck Sharon, your mom and I are proud of you.

With less than a minute left on "Fox & Friends" this morning I mentioned Sharon's graduation on Tuesday, and then asked viewers if they'd like to give their graduating college senior a shout out on our blog, just e-mail me. Hundreds did, and I spent the entire morning cutting and pasting.

Note to grads: these are the spellings as your friends and families sent, so please don't blame me if there's a mistake. While almost every note included the phrase "we're so proud of them..." I must tell you a couple were so touching, I had to include them in their entirety at the end of this blog. Here is every note I received as of 11:20am ET.

I just want to let people know how proud I am of my son, Bailey Mitchel, of Hemet, Calif. He graduates this week from the University of San Diego with a Master's degree in social work. I am a single mom who raised two children alone and struggled. I have a daughter I am very proud of also. This week is my son's time to shine and be proud of all the hard work he has done. He also works with homeless children, counseling and guiding them. He is one of the finest young men I have ever known. I am so proud of him. His mom, Connie Mitchell

We'll, I'll like to recommend my best friend, my wife, the mother of our children and my inspiration! Not to worry, they're all wrapped up into one incredible woman.

Nina Gail Hendricks will attain a Rank I in Library Media this Spring. She will be certified as a Library Media Specialist for Preschool through 12th grades. This is above and well beyond a Master's in Education.
