Colorado Springs police arrested two teenagers and a 12-year-old girl accused of attacking a 35-year-old woman with a hammer and stealing her car after she gave them a ride.

Police say the juveniles face charges of aggravated robbery and assault for the attack that happened at about 12:45 a.m. Saturday near an apartment building. Police say the juveniles approached the woman at a grocery store and told her they were stranded and needed a ride. The woman agreed to give them a ride home when she finished shopping.

Police say the 17-year-old boy, 14-year-old and 12-year-old girl hit the woman in the head with a hammer and kicked her outside an apartment complex after asking her to come in to their home so she could tell their parents they had been stranded.
