LOS ANGELES – Since she first laid eyes on the Playboy mogul in 2001, Hugh Hefner's "lead" girlfriend Holly Madison has made it no secret that she wants to get hitched to the 82-year-old. But it seems the busty blonde is starting to give up on her dream.
“We are no closer to getting married than we were years ago,” a dejected Holly told Tarts at last week’s “Playmate of the Year” luncheon held at the iconic Mansion. “It’s like a car stalled at the side of the road.”
While the 28-year-old glamour girl may still be holding out for a miraculous jump-start, she found it difficult to deal with her boyfriend’s thoughts on the situation as she sadly turned away while he spoke.

“I love Holly very much and I think we’re going to be together the rest of my life,” Hef said. “But marriage isn’t part of my puzzle. It’s not a personal thing; I just haven’t had much luck with marriages.”
But not only is the men’s magazine mogul refusing to commit to just one woman, he’s refusing to give up his passion of perusing pictures of beautiful (yet bare) bodies.
“I have no plans to retire,” Hefner added. “It’s the perfect combination of work and play that keeps you young. If I quit work it would be the beginning of the end for me.”
Speaking of endings, could his other two “Girls Next Door,” Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson, also be getting ready to move on?
“My goal is to be hosting my own show and be happily married with children, so I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately,” Bridget said.
Kendra added that her future plans also involve motherhood and marriage while at the same time she aspires to build up her brand name, so with her own label Kdub clothing ready to launch, it seems she’s well on the way to independence.
What 'Business' Does Gerard Butler Have With Orlando Bloom’s Girlfriend?
Victoria’s Secret’s newest “Angel” Miranda Kerr celebrated the launch the fragrance “Kiss” at Eva Longoria’s Hollywood restaurant Beso (Spanish for "kiss") last week. But seeing as though her A-list beau Orlando Bloom was a no-show, the stunning supermodel seemed content in doing “business” with Gerard Butler instead.
Butler clearly took a friendly liking to Miss Miranda (along with every male in the building), cornering her for a private conversation several times throughout the evening.
“We’re talking business,” a very spirited Butler told us later. “I have a project in mind for her.”
However, the “P.S I Love You” star was out of luck as Kerr refused to even pose for a picture with him. The leggy lingerie lass acted like a pro dodging the flood of flashes, and every time she spotted a lens looming in their direction, she was quick to tap Gerry’s shoulder so he turned away and nobody could get a straight shot.
“Miranda knows what the press is like and how things get fabricated,” a Kerr buddy explained. “She doesn’t need anything that could potentially damage things with Orlando.”
Funny enough, it was that very same venue just a few weeks ago that triggered the rumor about a romance between Bloom and Jennifer Aniston — and that all started because Jen wanted to sit beside her longtime friend and pose with him in some pictures. After all, they have the same manager, so (naturally) they have things in common to talk about.
But it seems like Orlando’s failure to show up to support his girlfriend (who was hosting the star-studded soiree) is very much in keeping with Victoria’s Secret tradition.
“It’s like Gisele and Leo all over again,” groaned an insider who has been involved with the Angels for several years. “He never came to Gisele’s events and she too made us ban questions about him.”
Well, we can hardly blame the girls for wanting to keep a few things private, seeing as though so much of their bodies are, er, exposed.

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady aren’t the most toned twosome in the celebrity world — well, that’s according to In Touch magazine’s latest poll.
The supermodel and Super Bowl sensation were beaten out of the top spot by Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel — the “SexyBack” star couple outdoing even the likes of Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens as well as Fergie and Josh Duhamel.
Cannon Was Always 'Obsessed' With Mariah
The recent marriage of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon may have been a shock to the world, but it seems like it may have always been on Cannon's agenda.
An insider close to the Cannon camp told Tarts that Nick's "obsession" with the pop princess started young.
"Ever since Nick was a child, he was always a hugely obsessed fan," said our source. "He had posters of her and joked about how star-struck he'd be just meeting her, so I'm not surprised they got married so fast."
But it appears as though we can also expect the tattooed twosome to expand the empire in the not-too-distant future.
"[Children] are part of the whole purpose of getting married. I’d just want our children to have the best childhood and upbringing they possibly can," Carey told People magazine.
However, now that Nick has tied the knot with one of the world's best-selling artists of all time, does that mean he's ditching his gig as a DJ?
Cannon has been one of Hollywood's most sought-after celebrity DJs for a while now, but it seems as though he'll be too busy being Mr. Carey to continue his part-time gig.
"Nick normally does all our big summer bashes," one of Hollywood's leading event co-coordinators told Tarts. "But I've been told by some of his people it's probably best if I start looking to book someone else."
