2 Georgia Women Found Dead in Execution-Style Murder

Police have identified the two women found dead at their apartment Sunday, victims of an execution-style murder.

College Park Police spokesman Sgt. Eddie Atkins said 28-year-old Lanaetria Butler and her roommate, 34-year-old Karida Winkler, were each found shot once in the head. A third roommate discovered the bodies when she returned home from work before 10 a.m.

Atkins said authorities had not determined a motive and there was no sign of forced entry.

He added that Butler was the mother of five children — two of which are in the custody of her mother in Jacksonville, Fla.
