SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Wide receiver DaVaris Daniels and Jerian Grant, the basketball team's leading scorer, have been readmitted to Notre Dame after being suspended for the spring semester for undisclosed academic violations.
Daniels was second on the team last season with 49 catches for 745 yards and is the leading returning receiver. He will be a senior academically, but has two years of athletic eligibility left because he didn't play as a freshman.
Grant was leading the Irish in scoring at 19 points a game as well as in assists and steals when he was suspended after a loss to then-No. 3 Ohio State. The Irish finished 15-17 in their first season as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference — the first losing season since 1998-99.
