Danish star Caroline Wozniacki was a first-round winner Tuesday on home soil at the $220,000 e-Boks Open tennis event.

The top-seeded former world No. 1 Wozniacki handled Poland's Urszula Radwanska 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 in just over two hours on the indoor hardcourts at Farum Arena.

Wozniacki is the two-time reigning Copenhagen titlist, having beaten Czech Lucie Safarova in last year's finale.

Three other seeds moved on, as No. 4 Romanian Monica Niculescu defeated Russian Valeria Savinykh 6-2, 6-2, No. 5 Estonian Kaia Kanepi downed Aussie Anastasia Rodionova 6-3, 6-4, and No. 6 German Mona Barthel dropped Swede Johanna Larsson 6-3, 6-4 on Day 2.

Other opening-round winners were Brit Anne Keothavong, Croat Petra Martic and France's Alize Cornet.

The 2012 Copenhagen champion will earn $37,000.
