Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Tuesday that shooting guard Kevin Martin underwent successful surgery to repair a fracture in his right wrist.

Martin, who suffered the injury during Minnesota's 115-99 win over the New York Knicks last Wednesday, is expected to be out between 6-to-8 weeks.

The 11-year veteran was off to a strong start in 2014-15, averaging a team- best 20.4 points over nine games this season. Martin knocked down 26-of-54 attempts (48.1 percent) from 3-point range over that span.
