WNBA agrees to eight-year CBA with players

(SportsNetwork.com) - The WNBA and its players' union have agreed to terms on an eight-year collective bargaining agreement.

Reports circulated last month during the NBA's All-Star weekend that the two sides had worked out a long-term pact.

According to the WNBA's website, the new deal includes an increase in roster size from 11 to 12, as well as a revenue-sharing program.

The new deal, which includes an opt-out clause after six years, replaces the previous CBA that expired last September.
