Wild ink Kassian to two-year contract

St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Wild re-signed winger Matt Kassian to a two-year contract on Friday.

The 25-year-old Kassian played in 24 games with the Wild last season, racking up 55 penalty minutes. He scored both of his career goals against the Montreal Canadiens on March 1.

A 2005 second-round pick, the 6-foot-4 enforcer made his NHL debut with the Wild during the 2010-11 season, totaling 12 penalty minutes in four games.
