West Bromwich, England – West Bromwich has bolstered its squad with the addition of midfielder Morgan Amalfitano on a season-long loan from Marseille.
The 28-year-old appeared in 26 Ligue 1 games for Marseille last term, but has made just two substitute appearances this season after falling down the pecking order.
West Brom boss Steve Clarke will hope that the arrival of Amalfitano can boost a woeful attack that has yet to score a goal in three league matches, leaving the Baggies on the bottom of the Premier League with one point.
Amalfitano has been capped one time by France, and West Brom will have the option to make the move permanent for a fee of $3 million.
