David Lee played five seasons for the Golden State Warriors from 2010-15, and was a member of last year's championship squad. He lost his starting job to Draymond Green, and played sparingly throughout the season.
But Lee was praised by his coaches and teammates for the way he handled himself, and the fans at Oracle Arena got to pay their respects one more time when Lee visited on Friday with the Dallas Mavericks.
"It's very special," Lee said before the ceremony, via ESPN. "When we got here, we were a losing team. It's been quite a journey. To end that last year with the ultimate thing you want to accomplish in sports, to win a championship, it's great to celebrate that and enjoy it for one last time tonight."
