HOUSTON -- When it rains, it pours.

While the saying would certainly be applicable for Saturday's 33-30 victory by unbeaten Houston against visiting Cincinnati on a rainy Saturday, in this case it might as well refer to the four penalties the Bearcats received on one play.

The fourth of the penalties was against visibly irate Cincinnati coach Tommy Tuberville, who took protest to the previous two penalties, a personal foul and unsportsmanlike conduct against Bearcats. The first of the four penalties was a facemask call against cornerback J.J. Pinckney on a fourth-and-1 play for the Cougars on Cincinnati's goal line.

Despite the four penalties, the Cougars didn't get much in yardage as the play started on the Cincinnati 5-yard line. Houston did, however, take advantage scoring a touchdown to take a seven-point lead in the third quarter of their three-point victory.
