Warriors exercise contract option on Thompson

Oakland, CA – The Golden State Warriors exercised the third- year contract option on guard Klay Thompson Thursday.

The Warriors selected Thompson with the 11th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft and he averaged 12.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists over 66 games (29 starts) in his first season in the NBA.
