Virginia moves to Super Regionals with rout of Elon

The Virginia Cavaliers pounded out 14 hits en route to an 11-3 win over the Elon Phoenix in the Charlottesville Regional Final.

Nick Howard had four of the Cavaliers' (50-10) hits while also driving in a pair of runs. Derek Fisher went 2-for-5 with three RBI as well for Virginia which will take on the winner of the Starkville Regional next weekend during Super Regionals. David Rosenberger pitched five scoreless innings of relief and was credited with the win.

For Elon (34-30) Ryan Kinsella was 1-for-4 with a two-run home run while Nate Young took the loss after allowing five runs in just 2 1/3 innings. Elon picked up a 6-4 win over UNC-Wilmington earlier in the day to advance to the regional final.
