Aston Villa forward Christian Benteke is expected to be out for the next 4-6 weeks because of a hip flexor injury.

Benteke was forced off the field before halftime in last weekend's 1-0 win over Norwich City, and after undergoing tests, it was determined that the Belgium international will be out for up to six weeks.

The 22-year-old led Villa with 19 goals in 34 league games last term, and he is off to a good start this campaign, netting four goals in his first five fixtures.

Villa will be without its leading scorer for league matches against Manchester City, Tottenham, Hull City and Everton, while games against West Ham and Cardiff City could also come too soon.

The Villains certainly didn't do well in Benteke's first game out, a 4-0 defeat against Tottenham in the League Cup on Tuesday.
