Villanova junior guard Dominic Cheek has decided to forgo his final season and will enter the NBA Draft.

Cheek averaged 12.5 points and 3.9 rebounds in 30 games last season.

"I appreciate all the help I have gotten from my teammates, coaches and friends during my time at Villanova," said Cheek in a statement. "At this point in my life, I feel this is the best decision for me and my family. I am excited to get started with the process of pursuing my dream of playing in the NBA."

Cheek finally cracked the starting lineup in 2011-12 after coming off the bench for the majority of his first two seasons with the Wildcats. He averaged 4.9 points in 33 games as a freshman, then finished at 5.6 points in 32 games as a sophomore.

"We support Dominic in his decision," stated Villanova head coach Jay Wright. "We will assist him as he goes through the process of preparing for the draft and his professional career."
