Turin, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Arturo Vidal scored a goal in each half to propel Juventus to a 3-0 home win over Cesena on Wednesday, continuing Massimiliano Allegri's perfect start to life as Juve manager.
Allegri took over as boss prior to the start of the season, and he has guided Juventus to five straight wins without conceding a goal in all competitions.
Juventus is tied atop Serie A with Roma through four games, and the club snatched the lead in the 17th minute on Wednesday when Vidal scored from the penalty spot after Cesena's Emmanuel Cascione handled the ball inside his own area.
Cesena gave Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon little to do, and the hosts nearly added to their lead before halftime as both Fernando Llorente and Sebastian Giovinco went close.
Goalkeeper Nicola Leali did his best to keep Cesena within a goal, but he was unable to keep out a thunderous shot from Vidal 20 yards from goal, doubling Juve's lead.
Stephan Lichtsteiner then sealed the win five minutes from time when he put a third goal past Leali after taking a pass from Simone Padoin.
Roma had to work a little harder to maintain its perfect mark as the club required a goal from Miralem Pjanic in the 88th minute to edge Parma, 2-1.
Adem Ljajic had Roma in front in the 27th, but his opener was canceled out by a second-half equalizer from Paolo De Ceglie before Pjanic rescued all three points with his late goal.
Inter Milan is third after a 2-0 win over Atalanta that saw Pablo Osvaldo score late in the first half before Hernanes tacked on another goal in the 87th.
Napoli went 2-0 up on Palermo in the first 11 minutes, but had to settle for a 3-3 draw as Andrea Belotti scored twice for Palermo, including the equalizer in the 61st minute.
