Vazquez beats Diaz to keep IBF lightweight belt

Guadalajara, Mexico – Miguel "Titere" Vazquez retained his IBF lightweight championship with a twelve round unanimous decision over Ameth Diaz.

Vazquez (30-3, 13 KO's) was never challenged by Diaz (30-11, 21 KO's) as indicated by the scores of the judges, 120-107, 120-107 and 119-108.

This is Vazquez's third successful retain since defeating Ji-Hoon Kim on August 14, 2010 to win the vacant IBF lightweight championship.
