United, Timbers time changed due to Irene

Washington, D.C. – D.C. United announced Thursday that it has moved Saturday's Major League Soccer game against the Portland Timbers up to 2 p.m. (ET) due to severe weather expected from Hurricane Irene.

The match was scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m., but with Irene expected make an impact on the East Coast this weekend, the match was changed to an earlier start time.
