INDIANAPOLIS – Da'Rick Rogers's big game against Cincinnati could signal a step in the right direction for the Colts offense.

Ever since receiver Reggie Wayne went down for the season with a torn ACL, Indy has been searching for someone to take the pressure off rising star T.Y. Hilton.

The Colts turned to Rogers, a troubled player who was booted from the team at the University of Tennessee, went undrafted in April and was cut by Buffalo before the season began. In his second NFL game this past Sunday, Rogers caught six passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns.

Colts coach Chuck Pagano said Rogers has earned a spike in playing time. That likely will mean less action for the struggling Darrius Heyward-Bey, a high-profile offseason pickup who has disappointed.
