UCLA needed some good news after losing out at The Opening, and this ought to soften the blow.

The Bruins picked up a commitment from three-star tight end Jordan Wilson, who hails from Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder chose UCLA over Notre Dame, Michigan, Vanderbilt, West Virginia and Missouri.

Wilson told Rivals he chose Westwood because "they take football seriously, but they also take academics seriously, so I love that. The campus itself is in the middle of everything in L.A., so networking with people will be easy and that's a big plus, too."
