Tulane safety Devon Walker was seriously injured and left in an ambulance during Saturday's game against Tulsa.

Walker was hurt while making a tackle in the first half of the 45-10 loss when his helmet collided with the helmet of a teammate.

FOX Sports had reported that Walker stopped breathing and was revived by emergency personnel. Walker was taken to a Tulsa hospital and various reports have stated that he has a broken neck and a collapsed lung.

"Mood in the locker room was somber," said Tulane head coach Curtis Johnson on the school's Twitter feed. "Definitely one of the most difficult times."

The school also said on Twitter that Walker is in stable condition at the hospital.
