Joey Coulter, seeking his second straight win, took the pole Saturday morning for Saturday afternoon’s VFW 200 Camping World Truck Series race at Michigan International Speedway.

Coulter, scoring his first pole, had a fast lap of 184.101 miles per hour, edging Nelson Piquet Jr., who ran 184.011. They were the only drivers over 184.

Following in the top five were Miguel Paludo, Kurt Busch and Ty Dillon. In the second five were Johnny Sauter, Tim George Jr., James Buescher, Timothy Peters and Brad Keselowski.

Coulter won two weeks ago at Pocono Raceway and is seventh in the series standings.

Peters has an eight-point lead over Dillon entering Saturday’s race (12:30 p.m. ET), which will be televised by SPEED.
