Jeb Burton won the pole for tonight’s North Carolina Education Lottery 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Burton had a lap of 181.372 mph in the No. 4 Arrowhead-Kangaroo Chevrolet owned by Mike Hillman Jr. It was Burton’s third pole in just five attempts this season.
“This is a dream come true, I don’t what to say,” said Burton, who fought back tears after his qualifying lap.
Qualifying on the outside of Row 1 was Ty Dillon, 180.294 mph in the No. 3 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet, ahead of Timothy Peters, who ran an identical speed in the No. 17 Parts Plus Toyota. But Peters’ truck had a rear-end housing seized for too much camber and his Red Horse Racing team could be penalized next week.
Kyle Busch qualified fourth at 180.240 mph in his own Toyota, followed by Miguel Paludo in a Turner Scott Motorsports Chevrolet. The second five was Justin Lofton, Ross Chastain, Dakoda Armstrong, Ryan Blaney and German Quiroga.
Jennifer Jo Cobb, embroiled in a dispute with Mike Harmon over a stolen transporter, did not make a qualifying attempt and will not race tonight.
With four of 22 races in the books, Matt Crafton leads his teammate Johnny Sauter by 13 points. Burton is third in points, also 13 behind Crafton. Then it’s Blaney (-21) and Dillon (-27).
