London, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Tottenham defender Danny Rose has had a recent red card rescinded, the English Football Association announced Friday.

Rose was harshly sent off early in the second half of Tottenham's 5-1 loss to Manchester City at White Hart Lane on Wednesday. The Spurs left-back slid in on Edin Dzeko and knocked the ball out of play, but referee Andre Marriner pointed the spot and issued a red card after consulting with the linesman.

"Danny Rose's one-match suspension has been withdrawn with immediate effect after the Tottenham player's wrongful dismissal claim was upheld by an Independent Regulatory Commission," read a statement from the FA.

Rose will be eligible to play in Tottenham's Premier League match at Hull City on Saturday.
