Duvier Riascos scored as Tijuana climbed to the top of the Mexican Apertura on Sunday night with a 1-0 win over Toluca in a battle of the top two clubs.

Riascos scored the lone goal of the match six minutes into the second half, as he converted from the middle of the penalty area to the bottom-left corner for his fourth goal this season.

Toluca had Zinha sent off in the 74th minute, as it failed to answer the score from Tijuana.

Tijuana extended its unbeaten streak to 10 matches with its seventh win during the stretch, and moved one point ahead of Toluca in the standings. Toluca lost for just the second time this season, but both are in its last five matches.

Also Sunday, Luis Rey scored a brace as Jaguares pounded San Luis, 4-0, to run its unbeaten streak to five games, an own goal helped UNAM hold off Monterrey, 3-2, and Atlante tied Morelia, 2-2, to end a four-game losing streak.

United States forward Herculez Gomez scored as Santos tied Queretaro, 1-1, on the road to extend its undefeated streak to four matches and move to fourth in the standings Saturday.

Third-place Leon also extended its undefeated streak to four games Saturday as Matias Britos scored in a 1-1 draw at Pachuca, and Omar Bravo scored in the 57th minute as Cruz Azul secured a 1-1 draw against Atlas, which is winless in 10 straight matches.

Also Saturday, Edison Toloza had the match-winner as Puebla edged Tigres, 2-1, for its second straight win, and America saw its undefeated streak end at five games as Rafael Marquez Lugo scored twice for Guadalajara in a 3-1 win.
