The Detroit Tigers reinstated reliever Octavio Dotel from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday.

The 38-year-old Dotel had been sidelined since June 3 with right elbow inflammation.

In 21 appearances this season prior to the DL stint, Dotel compiled a 1-2 record with a 4.42 earned run average.

To make room on the roster, the Tigers optioned pitcher Thad Weber to Triple-A Toledo.
