Guess who's back? It's safety Taylor Mays -- for the third time this season! Ezra Shaw Getty Images

For the third time in two months, Taylor Mays is on the Raiders.

The journeyman safety will fill the glaring roster hole left by injured defensive end Justin Tuck. And he'll return to former USC coach and Raiders defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr.

Mays might have to deal more with special teams coach Brad Seely, though. The Raiders are set with T.J. Carrie and interceptions leader Charles Woodson at his spot. Plus, Nate Allen should return to action in November.

Mays is used to the turmoil. He was signed and released twice since the season began and jumped from the Vikings and Lions earlier this summer.
