A few months ago, one blue-chip dual-threat QB -- Tate Martell -- decommitted from Texas A&M. But the Aggies turned around and landed another hyped dual-threat quarterback Monday, landing four-star prospect Kellen Mond, who broke the news on Twitter.

The 6-1, 200-pound Mond picked the Aggies over SEC West rival Auburn, among others. He had been committed to Baylor for a year but de-committed in the wake of the sexual assault scandal that cost head coach Art Briles his job. A San Antonio native, Mond plays at IMG Academy in Florida.

Mond, who is about three inches taller than Martell, is seen as a better fit for what new Aggies offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone is trying to do in College Station.
