KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Julio Teheran struck out 10 in six hitless innings and Dan Uggla homered as a split squad of Atlanta Braves beat the Houston Astros 3-2 Saturday.
The Astros' runs came in the ninth on a homer by Rick Ankiel off closer Craig Kimbrel.
Teheran, who won the job as the Braves' fifth starter this spring, walked three and has 1.04 ERA in six starts. The right-hander pitched five hitless innings against St. Louis on March 12.
Evan Gattis homered for the third time in two games. The Atlanta catching prospect has five homers this spring. Jordan Parraz also homered for the Braves.
Philip Humber, who will start the Astros' third game of the season, allowed three runs and three hits in six innings. He struck out four and walked none.
