Demarquelle Tabb scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Alabama A&M to help the Bulldogs overcome a seven-point halftime deficit and defeat Division II Alabama-Huntsville, 81-71 for their first win of the season Thursday night.

Five Alabama A&M players finished in double figures. Jeremy Crutcher had 15 points and Tyler Davis and Jose Long added 13 and 11 points, respectively. Green Hill added 10 points off the Bulldogs' bench.

Ronnie Mack led all scorers with a 19-point effort for the Chargers, who got out of the blocks fast thanks to some hot-shooting from 3-point range. Mack hit a pair of early 3-pointers and Andrew Donovan, who was 4 of 6 from long range (12 points) had three of his 3-pointers in the first half. Wayne Dedrick scored 11 of his 16 points in the first half.
