BERN, Switzerland (AP) Switzerland's justice ministry has granted an American request to extradite former Costa Rican soccer federation president Eduardo Li in the FIFA bribery case.

Li was ousted from the FIFA executive committee after being arrested on May 27 in a dawn raid at a luxury hotel in Zurich, two days before the FIFA presidential election.

The Swiss ministry says Li ''is accused of taking bribes in connection with the sale of marketing rights for World Cup 2018 qualifiers to a U.S. sports marketing company.''

Li can appeal the extradition order at Switzerland's federal criminal court within 30 days.
