As we count down to Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, Calif., it's time to look back on the magical and memorable moments in the 49 previous Super Bowls. FOX Sports senior NFL writer Alex Marvez has ranked the 50 greatest moments in the big game's big history, and every weekday from now until Feb. 7 we'll unveil the latest addition to our countdown. Today, we look back at moment No. 7, when the 49ers broke the Bengals' hearts in XXIII.

A great example of Joe Montana's nonplussed persona under pressure came with San Francisco trailing Cincinnati late in the fourth quarter.

To keep things loose in the huddle, "Joe Cool" told one of his teammates that he thought he spotted comedian John Candy in the stands.

Montana then had the last laugh against Cincinnati's defense, leading the 49ers on the game-winning 92-yard drive that was capped by a 10-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver John Taylor with 34 seconds remaining.

Here are highlights from Super Bowl XXIII.

Final score: San Francisco 20, Cincinnati 16
