(SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Lakers are the only winless team in the Western Conference and will try to avoid an 0-5 start when they host the Phoenix Suns Tuesday at Staples Center.

The Lakers are 0-4 for the first time since the 1957-58 Minneapolis squad opened the season with seven straight defeats.

In Saturday's 127-104 loss to the Golden State Warriors, Kobe Bryant scored 28 points, Jordan Hill netted 23 and Wesley Johnson finished with 15. Bryant has scored 20 or more points in three straight games and is averaging 24.8 ppg on the season.

Bryant, who scored 19 points in the third quarter on 9-of-14 shooting, was impressed with the speed and athleticism of the Warriors.

"You can't blink against this team," Bryant said. "They have quick triggers and a lot of guns. You blink and they bust the game wide open."

The Lakers had a 35-29 lead after 12 minutes and were outscored, 32-20, in the second quarter. Golden State then posted a decisive 34-18 scoring advantage in the final period.

Los Angeles turned the ball over 22 times for 26 Golden State points. It will have a few days to rest after Tuesday's game and will host Charlotte Sunday.

Phoenix enters this matchup in LA on a losing note and dropped a 118-91 decision to the Utah Jazz Saturday in Salt Lake City. Gerald Green had 16 points to lead the visitors, while Markieff Morris scored 13 and his twin brother, Marcus, ended with 12.

Goran Dragic, Eric Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas netted 10 points apiece in Phoenix's first road game of the season.

"They did a good job tonight. They pushed the ball. They had a lot more energy," Suns head coach Jeff Hornacek said of the Jazz.

Utah had a 52-34 advantage in rebounds and the Suns made only 7-of-31 from 3- point range. The Suns shot 41.4 percent for the game.

The Suns will play five straight at home following their trip to Los Angeles.

Phoenix defeated the Lakers, 119-99, on Oct. 29 this season and made 54.9 percent from the floor. Thomas had 23 points for the Suns, who have won 21 straight games when shooting at least 50 percent. Bryant had 31 points in that one for the Lakers, who lost three of four against the Suns in 2013-14.

The Suns have won eight of the past 11 meetings with LA, but are only 2-10 in the past 12 games as the guest in this series.
