Stony Brook adds Maryland transfer

Stony Brook, NY – Stony Brook football coach Chuck Priore announced Wednesday that cornerback Avery Graham has transferred to the program from the University of Maryland.

The 5-foot-10, 195-pound Graham, from Clarksburg, Md., will have two years of eligibility remaining.

"We're really excited to have a player with Avery's skill level and athleticism," Priore said. "Avery should fill an immediate need at corner."

Graham played in six games last season, finishing with five tackles with 56 kick return yards. He played in seven games as a redshirt freshman in 2010, making 12 tackles with 38 kick return yards.
