on-Trent, England (Sports Network) - Stoke City had a successful final day in the transfer window, securing the signing of striker Peter Crouch for a fee of $16 million.

The England international moves to Stoke after spending the past few seasons with Tottenham, where he scored 12 goals in 73 appearances.

He has also spent time with a number of other English clubs, including QPR, Portsmouth, Aston Villa, Southampton and Liverpool.

Crouch's international career includes 42 appearances for the Three Lions with 22 goals.

The Potters also added both midfielder Wilson Palacios and striker Cameron Jerome.

Palacios joins from Spurs for an undisclosed fee on a four-year contract, while Jerome has also penned a four-year deal.
