Stieglitz defeats Abraham via TKO

Magdeburg, Germany – Robert Stieglitz took back the WBO super middleweight title belt by technical knockout, dethroning champion Arthur Abraham after three rounds on Saturday at the GETEC Arena.

In a rematch, Stieglitz (44-3) was given the victory after the fight was stopped due to the condition of Abraham's eye.

The Russian-born Stieglitz opened a cut just above the left eye of Abraham (36-4) in the second round, and by the end of the third, it was swollen shut.
