Stephen Curry's corrected Game 6 stats caused a Las Vegas controversy

Stephen Curry was initially credited with 29 points in the Golden State Warriors' Game 6 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday, but he really had 31.

This was Curry's last bucket of the game, which was somehow credited to Draymond Green in the boxscore.

On Sunday, the NBA corrected Curry's Game 6 stats to properly credit him with 31.

Las Vegas' over/under for Curry points in Game 6: 30.5, of course.

There are an untold amount of people out there who put dollars on the under who went out to party Saturday night thinking they cashed in only to realize Sunday that, no, they actually did not win anything.

Yes, there are some people who thought they lost and actually won, but they don't matter here. The ones who matter are the poor suckers who were gut-punched so bad after experiencing a quick euphoric high.

What makes this even more difficult is there's no set way for Vegas to handle a situation like this. It depends on the house if they pay out immediately following the game and/or if they recoup money after the boxscore has been corrected. So what we have on our hands is a full-blown controversy and no clear way to solve it.

Some will claim there is something nefarious in play, but that's not the case. These things happen in gambling.

All we know is that this is an incredibly brutal beat.
