The Golden State Warriors are bracing for the high expectations that come when you add Kevin Durant to a team that is coming off a record 73 regular-season wins.
But as Golden State prepares for the present, it's impossible not to look ahead to next summer, when reigning two-time MVP Stephen Curry will be a free agent. But if Warriors fans had any concerns of Curry bolting the Bay Area, the sharpshooter put a lot of those fears to rest.
Curry made his intentions clear Tuesday, but he has yet to play alongside Durant. Will the two stars, who are not shy to hoist shots from virtually anywhere on the court, coexist when the season tips? If the Warriors fall short again, would Curry take look at his options next summer?
One thing's for sure, the Warriors will be under the microscope this season.
