Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is eager to stop talking about his future and get back to focusing on the present.

Roethlisberger called a report over the weekend that he will ask the Steelers to explore trade options for him in the offseason "silly." The two-time Super Bowl winner has two years remaining on his contract.

The 31-year-old Roethlisberger is in the midst of an up-and-down season. He is on pace to challenge his career high in yards passing set in 2009, though the Steelers have been at their best this year when they haven't needed to rely on him so much.

He is averaging 209 yards passing in Pittsburgh's three wins and 317 in its six losses. The Steelers host Detroit (6-3) on Sunday.
