Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Pittsburgh Steelers placed defensive end Brett Keisel on injured reserve Monday.
Keisel tore his left triceps in Sunday's loss against New Orleans, and an MRI confirmed the injury on Monday.
The 13-year veteran played in all 12 games with the Steelers this season, starting four of them. He totaled 17 tackles and a sack.
To take his spot on the roster, the team signed defensive end Clifton Geathers, who has played 37 games since entering the NFL in 2010.
