Sporting Kansas City brought an end to the perfect run of the Montreal Impact at Sporting Park on Saturday with a 2-0 victory that saw Benny Feilhaber assist on both goals.

The Impact opened the season with four successive wins, but Kansas City got off to a flying start with Claudio Bieler scoring his third goal of the season just five minutes into the match.

Bieler had a handful of chances to extend Sporting's lead, but it wasn't until the 80th minute when Graham Zusi found the net that the home side's advantage was comfortable.

Feilhaber had a great game for Sporting and he set up the opening goal in the fifth minute by playing the ball forward to Bieler, who avoided a defender near the edge of the penalty area and drove a low shot inside the right post.

Zusi set up Bieler for a great look at goal in the 23rd minute, but Bieler blazed the chance over the crossbar.

Seth Sinovic missed the far post by inches in the 57th minute as Sporting tried to extend its lead, while Bieler once more failed to hit the target from a good position inside the area.

But Feilhaber played provider once more 10 minutes from time when his through ball allowed Zusi to get into the box, where he neatly flicked a shot over onrushing goalkeeper Troy Perkins to secure the victory.
