PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Steelers have a few extra days to get ready for the Carolina Panthers.
Judging by Thursday night's loss to Baltimore, the Steelers will need every single one of them.
Pittsburgh turned it over three times and was pushed around in the second half of a 26-6 loss. The Steelers have been outscored 50-9 in their past six quarters.
Coach Mike Tomlin says his team is dealing with a lot of "self-inflicted" wounds. Pittsburgh drew nine penalties, including four that helped extend drives the Ravens turned into touchdowns.
Pittsburgh's defense failed to create a turnover for the second straight game and didn't record a sack of Baltimore's Joe Flacco. Cornerback Ike Taylor called it "an old-fashioned butt whipping."
